Title I/PFAC/PTSO Meetings and Info
All meetings are held from 4:00-4:30 p.m. on the dates listed below and will be virtual. On the days of the meetings, parents/families are encouraged to join these meetings by clicking on one of the following links at the posted meeting time.
Title I PTA agenda and minutes are available in the school office.
Schoolwide Title I Plans are available for review and feedback in the school office.
The Comprehensive School Improvement Plan (CSIP) is available for review in the school office.

Teacher Quality
Parents have the right to request information about the professional qualifications of assigned teachers. Federal law requires the school division to provide parents this information in a timely manner if they request it.
Assessment Participation
Parents have the right to request information regarding any state or district policies related to their child’s participation in required assessments, including any options to opt out. While federal law requires all students to participate in annual academic assessments, our district will provide you with details about state or local opt-out policies, as well as how these policies may affect your child’s academic record and school accountability.
English Learner Participation
Parents have the right to be informed if your child is identified as an English Learner (EL). You will receive timely notification about your child’s participation in the English Language Development (ELD) program, including the methods of instruction used, how the program will help your child learn English and meet academic standards, and your right to decline or withdraw your child from EL services.
Virginia Standards and Danville Public Schools Curriculum and Assessments
Danville Public Schools aligns its curriculum with state standards:
Information regarding how to access state standards and the division’s assessment can be found at VDOE’s Student Assessment website and DPS’ Assessment & State Reporting website. The division’s local curriculum can also be accessed via the Canvas Learning Management System. Each school is responsible for providing families with login information. Families should also be provided assessment and achievement information information on their child’s level of achievement in each of the state academic assessments, including Standards of Learning assessments, Growth Assessments-iReady, and VALLSS.

Profiles for schools, school divisions, and the commonwealth provide information about student achievement, accountability ratings, attendance, program completion, school safety, teacher quality, and other pertinent topics specific to student achievement.
